Govt to resolve LP gas dispute through talks

Kathmandu, May 29 –  The government officials and entrepreneurs on Tuesday held discussions just ahead of the government's preparation to bring the two colors of LP gas cylinders.

 

At an interaction programme here today, the government officials and representatives of Federation of LP Gas Retailers agreed to resolve the misunderstanding through talks.

 

On the occasion, senior Vice-chair of the Federation Omkar KC said an all-sides meeting should be organized to take a decision in favor of government, entrepreneurs and consumers.

 

 

 

 

 

Likewise‚ Chairman of LPG Gas Industries Association Shiva Prasad Ghimire said the association is staging protests for 18 months after our demands were not met by the government.

Also speaking at the programme, Director General of Department of Commerce Narayan Prasad Bidari said the government has formed a panel to study the problems facing cooking gas industrialists and warned that the entrepreneurs would face music if they halt the regular supplies.

 

Executive Officer of Nepal Oil Corporation Suresh Kumar Agrawal said the NOC was bearing a loss of Rs 495 per cylinder of LPG. He said the NOC would bring two color's gas cylinders from June 15.  RSS
