PM Paudel rejected pension

Kathmandu, May 24 – In a move that would surley earn plaudits from several quarters, Minister for Information and Communications Madhav Paudel has announced that he will not take pension in his capacity as a former secretary until he takes remuneration and other facilities as a minister .
The former Secretary said that it would not be fiar to dual faciligy from the state coffer. He added that the incumbent government, too, has adopted the policy of not receiving dual facilities.
Minister Paudel filed an application on May 23 to the Ministry for Finance to stop the pension as long as he serves as a minister .
Similarly, he has filed applications on the same at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, and the office related to pension management, stated Paudel's Personal Secretariat issuing a notice today.
Minister Paudel had retired as a senior bureaucratic officer of the civil service and has been drawing pension for the same. RSS
