3 people burnt after petrol vehicle fell off the road
Gajuri, May 24 – Three people burnt to death after a tanker transporting petrol turned turtle at Ghoptebhir of Darechowk VDC-3 in Chitwan district along the Prithvi Highway last night.
Police said that the tanker (Na 4 Kha 3264) was transporting 20,000 litre of petrol to Kathmandu from Amlekhgunj.
The accident took place after the vehicle fell 250 meters off the road in Trishuli River, said police.
The deceased are tanker driver Gopal Singh Lama of Hetauda Municipality and helpers Suresh Lama and Prakash Bista of Nibuwatar-6 Makawanpur, Police Inspector Lok Bahadur Gurung said.
Bodies of helpers Lama and Bista have been completely burnt while the body of driver Lama has been taken to Bharatpur for postmortem.
Police said investigations into the incidents are underway. RSS
