Banks to provide lending for high meat production.

Kathmandu May 21 – The Sana kissan Bank limited has provided meat loan to 24 thousands and 506 farmers. In order to increase meat production the Nepal government had allocated 1 arba 50 crore rupees.Banks to provide loan for high meat production.  

 

Bank has added 4 crore and 75 lakhs rupees to the initaial allocated amount. The laon provision on meat was started to distribute since last year.

 

Bank has initiated this programe for 49 districts through 202 cooperatives. In order to raise meat production bank has divided total lending as 48% for goat raising, 38% for buffalo, 9 %for pig and 5% for small buffalos raising.

 

This efforts of bank has benefited 3 arba 14 crore rupees last year. Nepal Government decided to allocate money for the meat after it found two years ago report of importing meat of 15 arba rupees.
