Actress Thapa & UML Leader joined UCPN (Maoist)

Kathmandu, May 18 – Actress Rekha Thapa & CPN-UML Politburo member Urmila Aryal have formally joined UCPN (Maoist).

 

UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Prachanda welcomed actress Thapa and CPN-UML Politburo member Aryal in the party amid a programme organised at party headquarters Perisdanda today morning in Kathmandu.

 

Aryal was elected to the Politburo by UML's national convention in 2008. She had been actively involved in UML's sister wing All Nepal National Women's Association. Aryal is learnt to have quit the party over issues related to the leadership of the association.

 

Similarly, Actress Thapa was also near to the UCPN (M) party since the Constituent Assembly (CA) elections.
