IEC Chair‚ UCPN-Maoists mull over CA election measures

Kathmandu, May 15 – Chairman of the Interim Election Council of Ministers Khil Raj Regmi and UCPN-Maoist leaders including Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' held discussions regarding the upcoming Constituent Assembly (CA) elections on Wednesday.

During the meeting held at Regmi's official residence in Baluwatar, discussions were held on CA date announcement, polls related ordinance, total seats under the proportional electoral system in the CA, process of the CA elections and contemporary issues, said Regmi's press coordinator Rajendra Prasad Pandey.

Earlier, Chairman Regmi has discussed with the leaders of the CPN-UML, Madhesi Morcha and other fringe parties regarding the ways to make the CA elections more systematic.

UCPN -Maoist Vice-chairmen Dr Baburam Bhattarai and Narayan Kaji Shrestha were also present on the occasion
