Lockout continues at TU service commission

Kathmandu, May 14 – The office of the Tribhuvan University Service Commission remains closed even today as the lockout carried out there on May 10 by the Newa Autonomous State Manka Khala Council, Kirtipur, continues.
The Council locked the office saying the Service Commission advertised for different University teachers´ posts arbitrarily at a time when previous agreements reached between TU and Kirtipur dwellers remain unimplemented.
People out of the valley, who arrived TU to fill up the application forms, have been hit hard due to the lockout.
The service commission had issued a notice on the postponement of the advertisements to some posts for the time being after the office was padlocked but it did not put the notice on its website, so people, who come to Kathmandu from places out of valley to fill up the application, are facing problem.
