NEGOSIDA ask govt to increase quantity of gold import
Kathmandu, May 11 – The Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers´ Association (NEGOSIDA) has demanded that the government increase the quota of gold´s import to stop the black marketeering in the gold transaction in the country.
At a meeting with Minister for Finance, and Commerce and Supplies Shanker Prasad Koirala today, the representatives of the NEGOSIDA asked to increase the gold´s import amount to 45 kilograms per day from the existing 15 kilograms.
The NEGOSIDA has claimed that the business was in a shambles due to gold shortage in the market following minimum import.
On the occasion, Minister Koirala urged the representatives of the NEGOSIDA to come up with a middle path option to resolve the present crisis.
The team led by Chairperson of NEGOSIDA Mani Ratna Shakya submitted a nine-point demand including security to the traders and import of the gold, among others. RSS
