Lokman Singh Karki sworn in as CIAA head

Kathmandu, May 8 –  Despite mounting pressure not to appoint controversial former chief secretary Lokman Singh Karki as Commissioner of the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA), the office of President is set to administer oath and secrecy of office on Wednesday morning.

A preparation is underway at Sheetal Niwas to administer the oath of office to Karki as CIAA head along with Bhanu Prasad Acharya as the Auditor General, and Kayo Devi Yami as the head of the Public Service Commission.
