First match of AFC Presidents’ Cup ends in draw

Kathmandu, May 8 – The AFC Presidents’ Cup being held in Dasrath Stadium in Kathmandu on Tuesday has ended after both Three Star Club and Bangladeshi Abahani Limited scored one goal each within the stipulated 90 minutes of play on Tuesday.
Nepali League winners Three Star Club took the lead in the 16th minute when Jagdish Shrestha scored the first goal.
However, the Bangladeshi Club hit back to level 1-1 in the 39th minute when Abahani player Sahidul scored for their club, minutes before the half-time stage of the match.
No goals were scored in the second half despite plenty of chances for both the clubs.
