NEPSE decrease by 12 pts

Kathmandu,May 5 – The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has plunged by 12.15 points to settle at 492.85 points on Thursday from Sunday’s 505 points.
The secondary market has been witnessed continuous fall since the beginning of Nepali New Year pushing the index below 500 points.
As per the sub-indices, the 'other group' lost 34.06 points, insurance 33.73 points, hydropower 15.69 points, commercial banks 10.29 points, finance 2.79 points and development banks 1.2 points. However, hotel group witnessed positive by 8.5 points while manufacturing and trading groups remained unchanged at 859.63 points and 167.94 points respectively.
Over last week, the transaction amount has also declined by 26.55 percent to Rs. 280.67 million from the previous week’s Rs. 382.1 million. Of the total transaction, ‘A’ category company alone registered a turnover of 54 percent registering Rs. 151.5 million
