NEPSE lost 5.33 pts

Kathmandu, April 28 – Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index has plunged by 5.33 points over last week to settle at 508.32 points on Thursday from Sunday’s 513.65 points.
As per the sub-indices of the secondary market, insurance lost 51.31 points, other group 21.14 points, hotel 10.41 points, commercial banks 4.17 points, development banks 1.11 points and finance 1.11 points. However, trading group gained 7.58 points and hydropower 6.89 points.
Over a week, the secondary market registered a turnover of Rs. 382.13 million through the transaction of 4106 with 113 companies. Of the total transaction, ‘A’ category companies registered a turnover of Rs. 242.2 million which is 63.39 percent of the total transaction.
Among the five firms in terms of highest transaction, Everest Bank posted the highest individual transaction recording Rs. 45.18 million, followed by Chilime Hydropower Company Rs. 45.09 million, Nepal Investment Bank Rs. 32.17 million, Nepal Bangladesh Bank Rs. 30.06 million and Nepal SBI Bank Rs. 22.82 million.
