Govt committed to hold election: Regmi

Kathmandu, April 27 – Chairman of the Interim Election Council, Khil Raj Regmi , has said that the government was committed to holding the Constituent Assembly election.
Addressing the 52nd anniversary celebration of the Ratna Rajya Higher Secondary School in the Capital on Saturday, Chairman Regmi urged one and all to work actively to make the CA election a success and contribute to nation-building.
"The CA election would be meaningful once it had the representations of all castes, cultures, regions, religions and genders of the country," he said, adding that stability was essential to give political outlet to the country.
According to him, education plays important role for the socioeconomic development of the country, and it needs modernization with quality.
He assured that government would pay attention on developing physical infrastructures for the educational development.
Similarly, Chief Election Commissioner Neel Kanth Uprety said the country was in need of stability for holding the CA election in a fear-free atmosphere.
The school set up in 2018 BS has some 2,000 students. On the occasion, the Baneshwor people felicitated Chairman Regmi and Chief Election Commission Upreti. RSS
