HLPC advices govt to announce poll date by April-end

Kathmandu,April 22 – The High Level Political Committee (HLPC) comprising four major political forces – NC, CPN (UML), UCPN (M) and UDMF – Sunday adviced the government to announce a date of the Constituent Assembly election by the last week of April.
A meeting of HLPC formed to assist the election government to take important decisions also decided to hold serious talks with the agitating political parties that have threatened to boycott the election process. This even as CPN-Maoist which leads various disgruntled political parties has formally declined the government’s invitation to sit for talks.
