Heavy ornaments and valuables found in Hanumandhoka

Kathmandu, April 5 – The historic Bhandarkhal Dhukuti in Hanumandhoka Palace was opened today.
The worth of silver ornaments and valuables found stored in the room exceeds estimations held previously.
Among the two rooms that were opened, nothing was found in one room which was in a poor condition, while contrarily, 15 metal trunks and 7 sets of safe were found in the other room. The exact worth of valuables in the trunks is still to be revealed with some of trunks yet to be opened. The discovered items also include idols and ornaments of deities. General Director of the Department of Archaeology Bhesh Narayn Dahal has informed that all valuables and their worth would be made public after completing works on their identification.
