Cabinet declares 30-day deadline to return arms
Kathmandu,April 4 – The cabinet meeting held on Thursday decided a month’s time to Maoists to return the arms in their possession.
Some 32 weapons were in their possession citing security for their leaders. “If the arms and ammunition were not returned by mid-May then they will be categorised as illegal,” the cabinet meeting further declared.
The committee has also formed a secretary level panel in a bid to manage former Maoist militia’s camp. The meeting has given a deadline to the committee to submit the report within 15 days.
