Prabhu Sah, has warned of quitting the party

Kathmandu March 27 – UCPN (Maoist) leaders representing the Madhes have demanded “respectable positions” in the party’s 399-member Central Committee (CC) and that the party’s Madhes in-charge be nominated from their community.

A section of leaders headed by Prabhu Sah, has warned of quitting the party if it continues to neglect their demands for 399-member Central Committee (CC). The party’s CC, on Monday, decided to form a 399-member CC but has not yet finalised the names of leaders due to disputes in the Madhes.

The leaders are also placing pressure on  party leadership to secure positions in the party’s powerful bodies. They have put pressure on the party to stand in favour of fewer provinces in the region, changing the party’s earlier policy of five provinces.
