Biratnagar,March 27 – The Traffic Police have misbehaved with Biratnagar correspondent of the Nepal Television (NTV) Mohan Manandhar while he was taking photographs of violation of traffic rules during Holi.
It is said that traffic police and locals misbehaved with Manandhar while he was taking photographs of three persons riding on a motorcycle at the main market in Biratnagar on Wednesday.
Media persons have protested the highhandedness of traffic police instead of taking action against the traffic rules violators.
The District Traffic Police Office, Morang, however, said that police arrested Manandhar for not properly locking the helmet and for mistreating the traffic police personnel.
Police have also arrested some persons from different parts of the district for violating traffic rules and on the charge of hooliganism. RSS
