132 road sections affected from floods, landslides

KATHMANDU, JULY 12: The vehicular movement on 132 road sections in different parts of the country has been affected by floods and landslides. The Department of Roads said yesterday that 13 road sections are fully obstructed, while 119 others have resumed one-way traffic.
The spokesperson of the Department, Sunil Pokharel, shared that one-way traffic has resumed along the BP Highway, Prithvi Highway, Mid-Hill Highway, and some other road networks.
However, vehicular movement along the Dumre-Bensisahar-Chame, Biratnagar-Itahari-Dharan, and Tansen-Ridi-Korala roads was completely obstructed after the landslides and inundation. The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has warned of a high risk of landslides and flooding and has forecasted rain across the country until Saturday.
