MetLife Nepal partners with Karmayog Foundation to build Interactive Playscape

KATHMANDU, JULY 24: MetLife Nepal has partnered with the Karmayog Foundation to build an Interactive Playscape at Shree Jabdi Adharbut School in Itahari 16, Labipur, benefiting almost 250 students.
The playscape, which promises to be a vibrant and stimulating environment, is designed to blend play with learning. It features a variety of interactive elements, such as climbing structures, sensory play areas, and educational games, all aimed at fostering creativity, physical activity, and intellectual development among children. This initiative is part of MetLife's broader corporate social responsibility (CSR) strategy to support education and community welfare in Nepal.
Under this initiative, MetLife yesterday provided support of NRS 700,000 to the Karmayog Foundation, an organization working for the holistic upliftment of underprivileged communities in rural Nepal, for collaboratively developing the Interactive Playscape in the school.
The joint effort involves local architects, educators, and community members to ensure that the playscape meets the specific needs of the students and aligns with the cultural context of the region. The playscape will feature eco-friendly materials and incorporate local artistry, reflecting the rich heritage and commitment to sustainability.
