Cimex plants 550 tress in Kalimati
KATHMANDU, JULY 29: Cimex Inc. Pvt. Ltd., the authorized distributor of BYD Auto Industry Co. Ltd. in Nepal, has planted 550 trees across two pocket forests in Kalimati, Kathmandu. As part of the "Building Dreams & Forest" CSR initiative, Cimex, in collaboration with The Hidden Treasure Pvt. Ltd., Revolution Project, and Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) Ward no. 13, today completed the tree plantation campaign.
"The event featured enthusiastic participation from the contestants of Miss Nepal 2024, further amplifying the campaign's impact and symbolizes the power of community collaboration in driving meaningful environmental change," states a press release issued by the company.
The newly planted pocket forests will be meticulously looked after and maintained for the next three years to ensure their growth and sustainability. This effort underscores Cimex's commitment to fostering a greener and healthier urban environment in Kathmandu, a city that has long grappled with the adverse effects of pollution , the release mentions.
