KU to run classes on Aviation Management

KAVRE, APRIL 5: Kathmandu University (KU) is beginning a course in Aviation Management at the Bachelor's level. The School of Management at KU is offering classes in Aviation Management in partnership with Simrik Venture and Siddhartha Banasthali School. This will be the first course of its kind at any university in Nepal.
It is reported that 33 students will be enrolled in the first year of the Bachelor's level program this year. The four-year program aims to provide knowledge and skills in aviation operations and effective management of airlines and airports, shared Venture's Chairman, Rameshwor Thapa.
The curriculum will include topics such as aviation laws, aviation security, airport planning and management, aviation marketing, airline operations, aviation economics, the importance of tourism, human resource management, and other related subjects.
"These courses will provide practical training in the management of aviation activities," Thapa stated. Vice-Chancellor of KU, Dr. Bhola Thapa, said that the Bachelor's level course in Aviation Management is aimed at producing skilled human resources in the country. "This is the first attempt in Nepal. We are confident in producing skilled human resources in this subject," Dr. Bhola Thapa added.
KU is situated at Dhulikhel in the Kavre district
