98 percent paddy cultivation in Bara

KALAIYA (BARA), AUGUST 6 : Ninety-eight percent of paddy cultivation has been completed in the district so far, said Chief of Agriculture Knowledge Centre Raj Narayan Prasad Shah.
Thre was a target to plant different varieties of paddy in an area of 46,0 20 hectares this year. Some 98 percent of the target has till date been acheived and the remaining planting is ongoing. Hardinath-1, Chaite-2, Chaite-4, Radha-4 varieties of Bhadaiya, Paddy, Sawa Mansuli, Radha-11, 9, 7 varieties of Aghani paddy have been transplanted this year Paddy has been cultivated in 45,099 hectares and the remaining 921 hectares will be planted within a week.
In the last year 2023/24, farmers had cultivated varieties of paddy in an area of 46,020 hectares and produced a total of 191,062 metric tons of paddy, according to the Agriculture Knowledge Centre.
