KATHMANDU, AUGUST 13: Minister for Industry, Commerce, and Supplies Damodar Bhandari has emphasized the importance of leveraging China's capital and technology to boost Nepal's development. Speaking at a program yesterday celebrating 70 years of diplomatic relations between Nepal and China, Bhandari highlighted the need for investment to support Nepal's growth and expressed hope for continued support from the Chinese government.
Bhandari stressed the necessity of implementing agreements made during the recent visit of the Chinese President to Nepal and noted that the relationship between the two countries has grown in significance. He mentioned that the Nepalese government is focused on enhancing industry, tourism, information technology, and employment, and is committed to creating an investment-friendly environment.
Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, Chen Song, shared his belief that China's development will aid Nepal and other countries in achieving prosperity. Former minister Anand Prasad Pokharel and former Nepalese ambassadors to China, including Mahendra Bahadur Pandey, Tanka Karki, and Bishnu Hari Nepal, also underscored the positive and supportive nature of the Nepal-China relationship and the potential for China's economic advancements to benefit Nepal's development.
