Net profit of Nepal Telecom plummets by 16.5 percent

KATHMANDU, AUGUST 15 : Nepal Telecom has experienced a decline in both total revenue and net profit. In the last fiscal year, the company’s total revenue declined by 6.32 percent to Rs 41.61 billion. This amount had been Rs 44.42 billion in the previous fiscal year.
Along with the drop in total revenue, there has also been a decline in net profit. The company had earned a net profit of Rs 7.92 billion in 2022/23. Such a profit shrank by 16.44 per cent to Rs 6.61 billion in 2023/24.
In line with the reduction in profit, the company’s earnings per share (EPS) also fell. EPS, which was NPR 44 in the previous fiscal year, decreased to NPR 36.77 last fiscal. However, the company’s per-share net worth remained at NPR 552.43.
