96 new industries registered in Palpa

RAMPUR (PALPA), AUGUST 16:Ninety-seven new industries were registered in Palpa district during the fiscal year 2023/24. Of these, eight industries are related to production, 44 to agriculture and livestock, 30 to tourism, and 15 to service.
A total of 407 people – 180 women and 227 men – gained employment in these industries, according to the Office of Cottage and Small Industries.
The capital amounting to Rs 219.8 million was invested in the industries registered with the office last fiscal year, while revenue of Rs 1.564 million was collected from the newly registered industries, according to Enterprise Development Facilitator Manoj Ghimire.
He shared that 483 industries were renewed, the capital of 89 industries was increased, and the objectives of three industries were changed and added. Additionally, the names and locations of nine industries were also changed last fiscal year.

A total of 3,817 industries have been registered in the district so far since the establishment of the office. Of these, 605 are related to production, 1,368 are agriculture and livestock-based, and 1,033 are tourism-based.
