KATHMANDU, SEPTEMBER 26 : The government has commenced the process of appointing the Chairman for the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON). As part of this initiative, three candidates who were shortlisted in the initial phase but did not attend the interview have been summoned for a presentation and final interview.
The related Recommendation Committee, formed under the coordination o the Vice-Chairperson of the National Planning Commission, has scheduled the interviews for Krishna Bahadur Karki, Chiranjivi Chapagain, and Navaraj Adhikari on October 5 at 8 a.m.
Out of the candidates shortlisted in the first phase, Santosh Narayan Shrestha and Muktinath Shrestha have already completed their interviews.
Despite the Chairman’s position being vacant since January 4, the government has been unable to finalize the appointment. The delay has been attributed to several factors, including internal disagreements among the ruling parties and pending legal proceedings in the courts.
