Lumbini to be made self-reliant thru tourism

LUMBINI, SEPTEMBER 27 : The Lumbini Province government has put forward a concept to make the province self-reliant through tourism. In a message on the occasion of World Tourism Day, Lumbini Province Chief Minister, Chet Narayan Acharya, stated that the 'Travel Lumbini' concept would be implemented to develop Lumbini as a self-sufficient province. The concept aims to create income-generating opportunities by focusing on tourism.
The message reads, "The Lumbini Province government considers the tourism sector as a key driver for improving the living standards of its citizens." Chief Minister Acharya highlighted that the government is working on establishing the Lumbini Tourism Circuit to encourage tourists to visit significant destinations across the 12 districts in the province.
He emphasized that the diverse castes, religions, cultures, natural resources, and biodiversity are the pillars for promoting tourism in Lumbini Province.
