100 people dead, 67 missing in floods and landslides
Casualties are spread across various districts

KATHMANDU, SEPTEMBER 29 : So far, 100 people have lost their lives, and 67 are reported missing due to the recent monsoon-induced floods and landslides that have occurred across the country. Additionally, around 100 others have been injured in the disaster.
According to the Home Ministry, the casualties are spread across various districts: 20 people in Lalitpur, 15 in Dhading, 12 in Kathmandu, 10 in Kavre, seven in Makwanpur, six in Sindhupalchok, five each in Solukhumbu, Panchthar, and Bhaktapur. Other affected districts include Dolakha with three deaths, Sindhuli with two, Dhankuta with two, Mahottari with two, and one each in Ramechhap, Jhapa, Udayapur, Ilam, Saptari, and Nuwakot.
Rishiram Tiwari, spokesperson for the Ministry of Home Affairs, stated that a total of 9,983 security personnel have been mobilized for search and rescue operations in the affected areas. So far, 3,039 people have been successfully rescued.
