MBAN holds its 15th AGM, elects its new 6th executive committee
Rayamajhi from NIC Asia Capital elected as chairman

The Merchant Bankers Association of Nepal (MBAN) has held its 15th Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Naxal, Kathmandu. During the meeting held yesterday, Ramendra Rayamajhi, representing NIC Asia Capital Limited, was elected as chair of the new 6th executive committee of the association. Similarly, Manis Narayan Joshi from Nabil Investment Bank Limited, Nirmal Bhattarai of Garima Capital Limited, and Shivanth B Pandé representing NIMB Ace Capital Limited were elected as vice-chairman, general secretary and treasurer, espectively.
Three other elected members of the executive committee were Sandip Karki from Siddhartha Capital Limited, Lekhnath Pokhrel belonging to Nepal SBI Merchant Banking Limited and Pushpa Sharma of Kumari Capital Limited.
The new leadership team, representing several leading financial institutions, is said to be committed to enhancing the role of merchant banking in Nepal. Their focus will be on improving capital market accessibility, promoting sustainable financial practices, and strengthening relationships with regulatory authorities.
The election process was characterized by a positive and collaborative atmosphere, reflecting the association's unity and shared vision for the future. The newly elected committee aims to further enhance MBAN's collaboration with stakeholders in the financial sector and regulatory bodies.
