Holiday Inn Resort inaugurated in Budhanilkantha

KATHMANDU, OCTOBER 10: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and former Prime Minister as well as President of the Nepali Congress, Sher Bahadur Deuba, jointly inaugurated the newly constructed Holiday Inn Resort at Muhanpokhari, Budhanilkantha-1, yesterday.
During the event, Prime Minister Oli stated that the resort would significantly contribute to the nation’s tourism, employment, and service sectors, and therefore, it should be promoted both nationally and internationally. He emphasized the need to utilize financial resources effectively and to work with innovative ideas to foster entrepreneurship and business development, adding that such hotels can play an important role in revitalizing the national economy. He further mentioned that the tourism sector would strengthen once both international airports in the country are operated efficiently.
Prime Minister Oli also referred to Congress President Deuba as his long-time friend of 50 years and a companion from challenging and difficult times. He said that they are now cooperating politically to achieve the democratic, beautiful, and civilized society they envisioned during their time in prison.
Former Prime Minister Deuba emphasized that, as an international chain hotel established in a scenic location, the resort should be extensively promoted to attract more tourists. Similarly, Minister for Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, Badri Prasad Pandey, stated that Nepal’s tourism sector should be developed by assuring the world that the country’s airspace is safe.
Chairperson Vinita Thapa Khadka shared that the resort, built on 20 ropanis of land with an investment of Rs 3.57 billion, comprises 104 rooms.
