Global IME bags "Best Bank Award 2024"

KATHMANDU, OCTOBER 28: Global IME Bank Limited has been recognized with the Best Bank Award 2024 by Global Finance Magazine, placing it among the world’s leading financial institutions. The award was presented on Saturday (Oct 26) in the United States, where Joseph D. Giarraputo, the founder and editorial director of Global Finance, handed it to the bank’s chairman, Chandra Prasad Dhakal, and Deputy CEO, Suman Pokharel.
The bank was chosen as Nepal’s top bank based on key factors such as reliability, effective financial resource management, network expansion, strategic partnerships, customer-friendly services, and strong credit ratings.
Chairman Dhakal expressed his appreciation, stating that the award will motivate the bank to further enhance its services. He thanked the Government of Nepal, Nepal Rastra Bank, shareholders, employees, and customers for their continuous support.
This year, Global Finance recognized leading banks across multiple regions, including Africa, Asia-Pacific, the Caribbean, Central and Latin America, Europe, and North America. Global IME Bank made history by becoming the first Nepali bank to receive this prestigious honor. Other award winners include HSBC from Hong Kong, Bank of America from the United States, the State Bank of India, China Construction Bank, Maybank from Malaysia, and Metrobank from the Philippines.
