Petroleum exploration: 79 percent drilling completes
It is being conducted with a grant of Rs 2.5 billion from the Chinese government.

DAILEKH, NOVEMBER 14: Nearly 79 percent of the drilling work for petroleum exploration in the Jaljale area of Bhairavi Rural Municipality-1 has been completed. According to Ganesh Nath Tripathi, Chief of the Petroleum Project Division under the Department of Mines and Geology, drilling operations have reached this advanced stage. The presence of petroleum products will only be confirmed after reaching a depth of 4,000 meters.
The exploration is being conducted with a grant of Rs 2.5 billion from the Chinese government. The Division, in collaboration with the China Geological Survey and Sibu Drilling Engineering Company, continues to make progress in the drilling efforts.
In the meantime, Chief Minister of Karnali Province Yamlal Kandel visited the project site to inspect the operations and review the progress of the petroleum exploration.
