NEPSE index declines by 9.99 points
Share prices of 63 companies increase, 178 decrease and 3 remain stable

KATHMANDU, DECEMBER 1: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index declined by 9.99 points to settle at 2,738. However, the turnover increased slightly to Rs 8.83 billion from Rs 8.54 billion posted last Thursday.
In today's session, the share prices of 63 companies increased, 178 companies decreased and 3 companies remained stable.
The development bank group went up by 4.5%. Similarly, the trading group increased by 9%, with the very high growth attributed to the 10% rise in the price of Bishal Bazar Company.
The banking sector rose by 1.47%, finance by 2.96%, hydropower by 1.14%, investment by 1.15%, life insurance by 1.35%, manufacturing by 0.57%, microfinance by 0.92%, non-life insurance by 0.01%, and other groups by 1.35%. The hotel and tourism sector increased by 0.30%.
Apart from Bishal Bazar Company, the stock value of Corporate Development Bank, Sindhu Development Bank, Green Development Bank, and Sapta Koshi Development Bank increased by 10%. The prices of shares of Excel Development Bank rose by 9.6%, Support Microfinance by 9.4%, Miteri Development Bank by 7.6%, and Emerging Nepal by 7.5%.
The stock price of Janaki Finance decreased by 10%, Nepal Finance by 9.1%, Upakar Microfinance by 5.4%, Life Insurance Corporation by 4.6%, and Manushi Microfinance by 4.1%.
Based on transaction amount, Excel Development Bank, NRN Infrastructure, Nepal Finance, Miteri Development Bank, and Nadi Group Power were among the top performers.
