Nepal to reap substantial benefits from China's BRI: PM

BEIJING (CHINA), DECEMBER 4: Visiting Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli emphasized that Nepal stands to benefit significantly from China's Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) during a program at Peking University.
In his address, PM Oli expressed gratitude for China's continued support for Nepal's development and highlighted the BRI, initiated under the visionary leadership of President Xi Jinping, as a means to further strengthen bilateral ties.
Looking ahead to the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Nepal and China in 2025, PM Oli announced plans for high-level visits to foster deeper connections between the two nations. He also noted that a prestigious institution like Peking University could play a vital role in advancing Nepal's educational development.
University Chair Prof. Gong Qihuang welcomed PM Oli and the accompanying delegation during the event. Later today, the Prime Minister is scheduled to address the Nepal-China Business Forum, further underscoring the importance of economic cooperation.
