International conference on organ transplantation from Saturday
It will feature the participation of 19 specialist doctors from India, Japan, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom

KATHMANDU, DECEMBER 11: The International Conference on Organ Transplantation, organized by the Nepalese Society of Organ Transplantation, will take place in Kathmandu starting Saturday.
According to the Society's Chair, Dr. Pukar Chandra Shrestha, the conference will feature the participation of 19 specialist doctors from India, Japan, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom. A total of 26 research papers related to organ transplantation will be presented during the event.
Dr. Shrestha highlighted that organs such as the liver and kidneys can be donated after brain death. The primary objective of the conference is to raise awareness and encourage the general public to consider organ donation.
It was further informed that several organs, including the kidneys, heart, lungs, liver, small intestine, eyes, and pancreas, can be donated even after death.
