SEBON Chairman vows to build fair, transparent capital market

KATHMANDU, DECEMBER 12: Santosh Narayan Shrestha, the newly appointed Chairman of the Security Board of Nepal (SEBON), has pledged to develop a fair and transparent capital market.
Speaking at an event organized by the Economic Media Society Nepal on Wednesday, Shrestha emphasized his commitment to fostering investor confidence through collaboration with all stakeholders. “The current capital market needs expansion, and SEBON is ready to cooperate to achieve this,” he stated.
Sagar Dhakal, the newly elected Chairman of the Stock Broker Association of Nepal, echoed Shrestha’s sentiment, stressing the importance of coordination for developing the capital market, which plays a vital role in job creation and economic growth.
Ramendra Rayamajhi, Chairman of the Merchant Bankers' Association of Nepal, highlighted the steady growth of Nepal's capital market and urged SEBON's new leadership to take bold strides.
Ram Raja Shrestha, Chairman of the Economic Media Society Nepal, also underscored the role of media-stakeholder collaboration in boosting economic activities.
