Weather to remain fair across the country today

KATHMANDU, DECEMBER 15 : Currently, the country is experiencing the influence of westerly winds, resulting in partly cloudy weather across most regions, according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology.
Some areas of the Tarai region are witnessing dense fog. The weather is expected to remain mostly clear throughout the country in the afternoon and at night.
The Department has forecast thick fog for many places in the Tarai and Kathmandu Valley on Monday morning. It has urged all concerned authorities to take precautions, as the fog could disrupt daily life, transportation services, and flights for a few hours.
Meanwhile, residents of Kathmandu Valley are experiencing relatively warmer weather today compared to Saturday. On Saturday, the temperature dropped to 2 degrees Celsius, marking the coldest day in the Valley so far this year.
This morning, the temperature was recorded at 4.5 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature in Kathmandu Valley today is expected to range between 16 and 18 degrees Celsius, according to the Department.
