Deadline extended yet another time for western section of Muglin-Pokhara road

DAMAULI, DECEMBER 20: The deadline for the western section of the Muglin-Pokhara Road Project has been extended for the second time.
This section, spanning 38.8 km from Jamune in Tanahun to Setipul in Pokhara along the Prithvi Highway, now has an extended timeline for completion. According to Saujanya Nepal, the engineer overseeing the project, the new deadline has been set for December 2025.
China's Anhui Kaiyuan Road & Bridge Company is responsible for constructing the western section at a cost of Rs. 7.40 billion. The company has committed to completing the project within the revised timeline.
As of now, the project has achieved 34.94% physical progress, with 23.91 km of road blacktopped in the first layer. Of the blacktopped road, 5.45 km is two-way, while 18.46 km is one-way.
In addition to road construction, the company is tasked with building 11 bridges. However, only five of these bridges have been completed so far.
