Stock prices of all groups, except for hydropower and manufacturing/processing, decline

KATHMANDU, DECEMBER 22: The NEPSE (Nepal Stock Exchange) index dropped by 13.53 points (0.53%), closing at 2,583.29 points. A total of 57,863 transactions involving 319 securities took place, with trading of 9.18 million units of shares amounting to NPR 4.51 billion.
Today, the stock prices of all groups, except for hydropower and manufacturing/processing, declined. Investors in the development bank faced the largest losses, with a drop of 2.05%, and those in the investment experienced a 1.18% loss.
Despite the overall market decline, four securities hit positive circuit limits. The stock prices of Support Microfinance Financial Institution, Barahi Hydropower, and Nyadi Hydropower rose by 10%. Super Madi Hydro gained 9.99%, and People's Power increased by 9.71%.
In contrast, Sapta Koshi Development Bank saw the biggest decline, with its share price falling by 6.40%. Maya Khola Hydro dropped by 6.12%, Garima Development Bank by 4.52%, and Narayani Development Bank by 4.38%.
The highest trading volume of the day was recorded by River Falls Power Company, with a total value of NPR 220.3 million.
