RASUWA, DECEMBER 27: The construction of the dry port at Timure in Rasuwa has made significant progress, with 72% of the estimated work accomplished.
Developed with technical and financial support from the Chinese government, the dry port along the Nepal-China border is steadily advancing towards completion. Executive Director of the Nepal Intermodal Transport Development Board, Ashish Gajurel, provided this update to the RSS following an inspection of the project site.
Key structures, including an embankment along the Bhotekoshi River, an entrance gate, access roads, warehouse buildings, and other facilities, have been completed.
Gajurel stated that the project is on track to be finished by the end of the current fiscal year.
Once completed, the dry port will feature a joint inspection site, parking facilities for 300 heavy trucks and 100 smaller vehicles, and other essential infrastructure.
