Global IME to distribute 5.5 percent bonus share

KATHMANDU, DECEMBER 29: Global IME Bank has held its 18th Annual General Meeting in Kathmandu. Shareholders unanimously approved a 5.5% bonus share dividend during the AGM that took place last Thursday. It also approved the annual report and authorized the necessary amendments to the bank's charter to accommodate the increased capital following the bonus share distribution.
The bank reported a strong financial performance in FY2023/24, with an operating profit of Rs 12.48 billion and a net profit of Rs 6.13 billion. After the bonus share distribution, the bank's paid-up capital will reach Rs 38.11 billion.
Speaking at the meeting, the chairman of the bank, Chandra Prasad Dhakal, emphasized the bank's commitment to shareholder returns and its strategic expansion into new business areas.
