Bill designed to amend the Prevention of Corruption Act passed

JANUARY 2: The House of Representatives' State Affairs and Good Governance Committee has approved an amendment to the Prevention of Corruption Act, 2059.
Today, the Committee passed the bill along with the report of its subcommittee, as proposed by Chairperson Ram Hari Khatiwada.
A subcommittee, led by committee member Hridaya Ram Thani, was formed to finalize the issues raised during the bill's discussion.
Following a discussion on the subcommittee's report, Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak, on behalf of the government, requested the Committee to pass the bill as prepared by the subcommittee, as the government had accepted it.
