NEPSE index on bullish trend, gains 49.12 points
Share prices of 226 companies rise, 12 decline, and 4 remain unchanged.

KATHMANDU, JANUARY 6: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index increased by 49.12 points (1.89%) today, closing at 2,640.68.
According to NEPSE, the total turnover for the day reached Rs 6.31 billion, with 15,461,264 shares traded across 312 companies in 75,540 transactions.
The market experienced a broadly positive day, with the share prices of 226 companies rising, 12 declining, and 4 remaining unchanged.
Aatmanirbhar Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited hit the positive circuit breaker, while notable gains were seen in Supar Madi Hydropower Project (up 9.70%), Sahas Urja Limited (up 8.70%), and Mayakhola Hydropower (up 8.59%).
On the downside, shares of Upakar Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited and Samudayik Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited hit the negative circuit breakers.
