Birgunj schools closed for three days due to severe cold

BIRGUNJ (PARSA), JANUARY 8: The Birgunj Metropolitan City (BMC) has decided to close schools for three days due to a significant drop in temperature and dense fog in the district.
A public notice issued by BMC Education Officer Hari Raut announced a winter holiday from January 8th to 10th for all public and private schools within the metropolitan area. The decision was made to safeguard students' health from the adverse effects of the cold weather.
While classroom-based learning is suspended, the metropolis has instructed schools to assign homework to students to ensure continued learning at home. Administrative work within the schools will continue as usual during the holiday period.
Similarly, Parsagadhi Municipality also issued a public notice on January 5th, declaring a winter holiday for public and private schools from January 6th to 14th, according to Education Section Chief Dev Kumar Giri.
