NEPSE up by 6.50 points
Turnover increases to Rs 6.40 billion

KATHMANDU, JANUARY 8: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index gained 6.38 points on Wednesday, marking a 0.24% increase. This positive trend has continued from last Thursday.
Of the traded companies, 139 saw their share prices rise, while 95 declined. Trading activity resulted in 15.5 million shares exchanging hands through 72,120 transactions, amounting to a turnover of Rs 6.40 billion. This represents a slight decrease from Tuesday's turnover of Rs 5.38 billion.
Sector-wise, the banking, hotel & tourism, finance, mutual fund, non-life insurance, trading, and other sub-indices experienced declines. The remaining sectors witnessed gains.
