Of total of 250 kilometres, only 51 kilometres remain to be completed

GANDAKI, JANUARY 9: Significant progress has been made on the Mid-Hill Pushpalal Highway, a project of national pride. 193 kilometres of the road along the Kaski-Parbat-Baglung section have been successfully blacktopped.
Of the total 250 kilometres, only 51 kilometres remain to be completed. This includes 38 kilometres in Kaski and 13 kilometres in Baglung. Preparatory work for infrastructure development is currently underway for these sections.
Shambhu Prasad Acharya, Chief of the Project Office in Parbat, stated that construction on the Upallachaur to Ghodabandhe section in Baglung has resumed under a new contractor following the termination of the previous contract due to slow progress. The 99-kilometre stretch from Ghodabandhe to Patihalne, bordering Rukum Purba district, has already been completed.
Maintenance work is also carried out in certain areas. Construction of several bridges along the Kaski-Baglung section is ongoing. Bridge designs are awaiting approval for some projects following contract management.
In the first five months of the current fiscal year, Rs 204 million has been spent out of the allocated Rs 768 million for road and bridge construction along the Kaski-Parbat-Baglung section.
