NC to hod Startup and SME Conference on February 29-30

KATHMANDU, JANUARY 10: The Nepali Congress (NC) is set to host a Startup and SME Conference on February 29-30 in the capital, with the aim of bolstering Nepal's entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Urmila Thapaliya, Chairperson of the NC's Department of Entrepreneurship and Small and Medium Enterprise Development, stated that the conference will focus on enabling entrepreneurs to effectively overcome challenges and explore opportunities.
The department and the Federation of Nepal Cottage and Small Industries have signed a memorandum of understanding to exhibit a wide range of goods, including handicrafts and other products produced by small and medium-scale enterprises (SMEs).
Thapaliya, on behalf of the department, and Umesh Prasad Singh, President of the Federation, signed the agreement yesterday in the capital.
The organizers announced that a total of 80 stalls would be set up at the conference for product display.
Federation President Singh emphasized that organizing such a conference to promote Nepali goods can significantly contribute to the growth of SMEs.
The conference, along with the exhibition of Nepali products, will include group discussions on various topics, such as innovation and entrepreneurship, investment of non-resident Nepalis in Nepali enterprises, the digital economy, and preparing human resources for sectors like IT and agriculture.
