Gold price surges by Rs 1,200 per tola

KATHMANDU, JANUARY 16: The increase in the price of gold in the international market has directly influenced Nepal's local gold prices. Today, the international market price of gold stands at $2,695 per ounce. In the domestic market, the price of gold has risen by Rs 1,200 per tola (11.66 grams).
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association, gold is now being traded at Rs 156,600 per tola, compared to Rs 155,400 on Wednesday.
Similarly, the price of silver has also increased; it is now trading at Rs 1,880 per tola, up from Rs 1,830 the previous day
