NAC pays back around Rs 540 million to EPF and CIT

KATHMANDU, JANUARY 17: Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) has cleared loan instalments for its purchased aircraft up to the month of Poush (mid-December to mid-January).
The NAC paid Rs. 539.6 million to its lending two institutions- the Employees' Provident Fund (EPF) and the Citizen Investment Trust (CIT)- for acquiring two narrow-body and two wide-body aircraft for international operations. While the full loan amount for the two narrow-body aircraft has been settled, payments for the two wide-body aircraft remain partially completed.
Since the current management assumed leadership, the national flag carrier has paid a total of Rs. 6.86 billion in loan instalments as of the end of Poush 2081 BS.
